What sets Transitions® lenses apart


Each of the Transitions lenses has a unique formula of adaptive lens technology. Made up of trillions of photochromic molecules, these patented formulas are integrated into the surface of the lens and constantly recalibrate, so the optimal amount of light reaches your eyes whether you’re indoors or outdoors.

The Smart Blue Filter feature, found in all Transitions lenses, reduces the amount of Harmful Blue Light* that reaches your eyes. Harmful Blue Light, also known as blue-violet light, can come from many sources, including the sun and electronic devices. The Smart Blue Filter feature reduces exposure to Harmful Blue Light by blocking at least 20% protection indoors and over 85% outdoors**, where it matters the most. 



Our Chromea7 technology, featured in Transitions® Signature® lenses, is an advanced formulation that allows lenses to be more responsive in outdoor lighting conditions across all temperatures. Chromea7 allows Transitions Signature lenses to be especially reactive to indirect sunlight and hot temperatures, so it's darker when it matters most. Watch the demo to see how it works.
