Think About Your Eyes Announces All-New Sponsorship Opportunity In 2014

Alexandria, VA (January 21, 2014) – Think About Your Eyes, a public eye health initiative sponsored by a non-profit organization under The Vision Council, announced Hilco as the latest industry partner to join in support of the national campaign. Hilco joins other vision community leaders and eyecare providers as supporters of the Think About Your Eyes campaign—a program designed to educate the public about the importance of vision health and the benefits of getting an annual comprehensive eye exam. A leading supplier of protective eyewear and eyecare accessories in North America, the United Kingdom and Australia, Hilco has joined the Think About Your Eyes campaign at the newly created Sponsor level.
“As support from the eyecare community continues to be a vital component of the success of the Think About Your Eyes movement, we wanted to provide potential industry partners with an additional option to show their support for 2014,” said Ed Greene, chief executive officer of The Vision Council. “The highest level of support remains the Leadership Level, and the new Sponsor Level is a creative and flexible way for companies to begin supporting the campaign with an eye towards potentially becoming full Leadership supporters in 2015.”
Since launching nationally in July 2013, the Think About Your Eyes campaign has seen overwhelming results as it seeks to motivate public behavior for eye health. Current Leadership supporters include National Vision, Inc. (NVI), Refac Optical Group, Specialeyes, Walman Optical, GUNNAR Optiks, SPY, Transitions, The Vision Council, Essilor and Luxottica.
