Essilor Of America Names Tim Gentry Vice President And Controller

DALLAS – (May 18, 2005) – Essilor of America, Inc., today announced that Tim Gentry has been named vice president and controller. In his new role, Gentry will be responsible for the financial reporting for Essilor of America and the transaction processing activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury, credit and risk management.
“Tim’s previous years of experience, as well as his recent Sarbanes Oxley experience, will make him a vital asset to our company,” said Kevin Rupp, senior vice president finance and administration, CFO.
Gentry most recently served as corporate controller at Darling International, a publicly traded manufacturer in the conversation of animal products for commercial use. Gentry is replacing Kathy Rismiller, now vice president of business analysis.
Prior to Darling, Gentry had a 13-year career with Fina Oil and Chemical Company where his experience ranged from large project accounting to Plant accounting, including managing the complexities of over $400 million in trade receivables as head of credit for Fina worldwide.
Gentry earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Houston and a MBA in Finance from University of St. Thomas in Houston.
