Essilor Issues Call for Annual Crizal DCRP Award Applications

DALLAS – (Jan. 8, 2010) – Today Essilor of America, Inc., the nation's leading manufacturer of optical lenses, invites students from across the country to submit applications for its annual Crizal® DCRP Award Program. The program is open to all fourth-year optometry or opticianry students in a COA-approved or NFOS program. The recipient will be awarded one Essilor Digital Corneal Reflex Pupilometer and case valued at approximately $500.

To be considered, faculty should submit the name of an exemplary student based on school- developed criteria. This student should have strong dispensing interest and skills and preferably have plans to enter into independent practice.

Beginning Feb. 1, Essilor will accept nominations from school faculty for the Crizal DCRP Award Program. All applications should be submitted to the attention of Danne Ventura by e- mail at or mail at Essilor of America, 13555 North Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX 75234. Entries must be postmarked or received no later than May 31, and must include the student's name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
