Ella Osborne: Proving You Can Make a Difference at Any Age
By Essilor USA

At just 3 months old, Ella Osborne was diagnosed with congenital cataracts and amblyopia, and she received her first pair of glasses at age 2. While having vision issues at such a young age might discourage some, Ella decided to turn this experience into a mission, dedicating her young life to helping give others the gift of sight.
Ella, who is still in elementary school, started the Vision Fun Run in her hometown of Portland, OR. The Vision Fun Run, which celebrated its third year in May, has already raised over $13,000, with all proceeds going to the KEX Kids Fund of the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation. Additionally, Ella helped lobby Oregon elected officials to get Senate Bill 187 passed, legislating vision screenings for school-aged children in the state of Oregon.
